It is so tempting to see a race that the model has NOT picked any horses, where you see 1 or 2 favourites with really low odds (1.x or 2.x) because the market expects them to win, and other horses with long odds (> 30-1) because the market expects them to lose.
No brainer right? Add those long-shots to your betting slip and pick up some extra cash when they lose.
You’ve just made an ’emotional’ bet based on feelings, rather than based on maths. We don’t do that. Your brain tells you those horses must lose. It’s obvious. It’s a dead-cert. Look at the difference in odds. They will not win! That’s a decision not backed up by any statistics or algorithm.
You will be amazed how often those nailed-on favourites don’t win and your long-shot donkey does and you have to pay out.
Stick to the selections the model sends out every day to subscribers. The model uses maths. It doesn’t care what the odds are on the other horses, what colour the horse is, whether it is male or female, how old the horse is, who the trainer and jockey are, where the horse lives, whether it likes soft/good/firm conditions. The model looks at past performance and current odds and judges which horses have a greatest chance of losing.
The model is 98% accurate at picking losers. It uses maths, not emotion.
I know it’s tempting to add horses you think are sure-fire losers, but resist the urge (that includes me too). Be patient. We are running a ‘Get Rich Slow’ scheme here, expecting to make a profit over the year, like you were investing in the stock-market. Have a long-term view and ignore what you think are instant gains.
Stick to the selections the model tells you to lay.
Full disclosure. I have been guilty of this too and curse myself when it goes wrong and have to pay-out. I have probably lost £2k-£3k, thinking I know better and I was wrong. I need to stick to my own advice too! It’s a bit like arguing with the satnav and ignoring its directions, but we know the lady inside the satnav is always right.
NOTE: Past performance is NOT an indication of future success and all selections tips are NOT a guarantee of profitability. We are gambling and we will lose money paying out on winners. Only gamble what you can afford to lose. MKK Racing is NOT responsible for any losses you incur.
